It was January when the idea of celebrating a big birthday by travelling far, far away,
to have an adventure before dementia and experience a culture far removed from our own, was first mooted.
Never having been one to hang about, the research began.
Which way round..... find a travel agent or decide on a route? I knew that I wanted to see the Himalayas, certain famous cities, temples, forts and colour, The Taj Mahal, a National Park with elephants and tigers, the Kerela backwaters and a few days on the beach to recover!!
Throw in a long haul flight, a rickshaw ride, a houseboat, an Indian sleeper train and a narrow gauge Toy Train and you have some idea of what I wanted for a big birthday gift to myself.
Well a wonderful gentleman by the name of Brijesh has created the perfect itinerary and in a few days Daf n' Sue are off on the road, ( no the camper stays at home ) off into the skies, en route for New Delhi via Dubai.. watch this space!! 🇮🇳
